The Philip and Becky Siever Scholarship Fund
Wilson United Soccer Club is excited to announce the creation of the Philip and Becky Siever Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is available to all deserving participants in the club’s select and recreational programs.
Named for two generous and giving people, the scholarship fund is meant to increase the number of participants in the “beautiful game” throughout Wilson County. Philip and Becky began their soccer journey in 1998 as parent coaches. As their sons, Drew and David grew with the game, so did the involvement of the Sievers. Whether it was organizing games, growing the Eagle Express Soccer Club, lining fields, running concession stands, or the multitude of other volunteer works, Philip and Becky eagerly participated. Through their hard work, virtually every high school and middle school in Wilson County has benefitted. Additionally, Philip helped guide the merger of Wilson United and Eagle Express and served as the first Vice President of the newly formed club. His reputation and strong character assisted greatly in the early successes of the new organization.Throughout their long involvement in the Wilson county soccer community, Philip and Becky quietly ensured that numerous children had the opportunity to play soccer. Their generosity in giving both their time and financial contributions helped to create the strong foundation on which Wilson United SC now stands. Therefore, the Board of Directors for Wilson United Soccer club is pleased to create the Philip and Becky Siever Scholarship Fund to provide soccer playing opportunities to the families of Wilson county.
